For Salone dei Pagamenti, one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to payments and innovation, Area! brought contemporary art into the heart of a large-scale industry event. In collaboration with Caleidos and ReA! Arte, we developed Ritorno al Mondo Nuovo, a collective exhibition inspired by Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and his reflections on freedom.

 

The exhibition explored the tension between progress and control, technology and humanity, tradition and future visions. Six emerging artists were invited to interpret these questions through different artistic practices, from painting and photography to sculpture, installation and video.
