Alissa Marchenko
Two years later, the connection with SuperOtium continued through the residency and exhibition Pigments by Alissa Marchenko. During her stay, the Ukrainian-born artist developed new works inspired by the natural elements, stories and cultural references she encountered in Naples. The resulting exhibition brought together these new works with pieces created during her previous artistic practice.
Our collaboration with SuperOtium, a hospitality space in the heart of Naples, brought artist residencies into the hotel itself. By hosting artists and their work within the space, SuperOtium became more than a place to stay, it became a place where guests could encounter contemporary art and discover a different side of the city.
2022
Sevana Holst
The collaboration began in 2022 with the Look Forward award, presented during the second edition of ReA! Art Fair. The award gave artist Sevana Holst the opportunity to spend a residency at SuperOtium from 15–25 February, exploring the territory of Naples through the question: “What is your future vision of contemporary Naples?”
Across both collaborations, the focus remained on creating space for emerging artists to develop their practice, engage with a new place and transform their experiences into new artistic work.
